Union Square

14th Street-Union Square is where the best of New York City comes together. The neighborhood is a popular residential neighborhood, cultural destination, business center and academic hub.  At the Union Square Greenmarket Farmers Market, over 70 farmers sell their fresh produce, great edibles, flowers and plants every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  Union Square is long known as a center for theater, dance, and cinemas from Vaudeville to the Academy of Music to the award-winning productions of Off-Broadway theater.  Also located in the area are distinguished hospitals and universities, including Beth Israel Medical Center, Cabrini Medical Center, St. Vincents, and New York Eye and Ear, as well as New School University, New York University and Parsons School of Design.
