The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen of the City of New York

This organization has been providing buildings-trade education since 1785 and has occupied this site since 1899. Inside is the City's third oldest library looking onto a soaring atrium. A balcony gallery features eclectic collections of locks,prints, coins, firearms and more.
