New York Public Library of Humanities and Social Sciences

The New York Public Central Library at Fifth and 42nd Street is one of four Research Libraries of The New York Public Library system and is popularly known as the 'main branch' library.  Vast collections contain scholarly, popular, and ephemeral materials in the humanities and social science disciplines.  It is reknown for Patience and Fortitude, the library's lion sentries to the grand entrance of the library.
